The Economics Division is part of Stirling Management School, located on the main campus of the University of Stirling. Our focus is on applied economics, addressing policy-relevant issues in areas such as environment, health, labour markets, consumer behaviour, and sports. Our research is interdisciplinary, drawing on expertise from various fields to develop practical solutions to complex, real-world challenges.

At the heart of our division is a passion for educating the next generation of economists. We offer a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Our students gain critical analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities that prepare them for success in both academia and industry. A particular highlight of our postgraduate offerings is the MSc Behavioural Science, which is closely aligned with our research focus on applied economics and reflects our commitment to innovative, real-world research.

We are committed to delivering research with real-world impact and engaging with government bodies, NGOs, international organisations, and private enterprises to provide insights that influence policy and decision-making. Our faculty is composed of internationally recognised experts who contribute to the global economic dialogue, producing research that has been published in top academic journals.

At the Economics Division, our mission is to produce research that not only advances academic knowledge but also makes a meaningful, positive impact on society, both in the UK and around the world.
