From July 1st to July 4th, 2024, the University of Stirling will host the 3rd SGPE PhD Summer School, focusing on advanced methods in causal inference\u2014specifically, Unconfoundedness and Instrumental Variables led by Professor Scott Cunningham from Baylor University. This event is designed primarily for PhD students and staff involved in economics and social sciences research.<\/div>\n

Over four days, attendees will delve deep into topics such as potential outcomes, selection bias, nonparametric methods, regression adjustments, propensity scores, and instrumental variables.<\/div>\n

Networking Opportunities: Participants will also have the chance to engage with peers and experts, enhancing both their knowledge and professional networks. This year we anticipate to have accommodation on campus, further enhancing the opportunity to have network effects between participants.<\/div>\n
